My name is Nneka and I live in Owerri
in Imo state. I saw this blog and decided to ask this question that has been
eating me up for months.
I am in a Relationship (or so I think)
with this really great guy and we’ve been going steady for almost a year now. I
work at the bank and that’s where we met. I haven’t really had any reason to
doubt his commitment to me until one weekend, about 2 months ago, I asked that I
come visit him at his house instead of the usual weekend getaways at the hotels
or my place and he totally said NO!
Why would he refuse me to come to his
house???
I’m beginning to hear rumors about how
he impregnated a girl and was mandated by his family to marry her, that his
long time girl friend has just returned from Italy and has moved in with him,
that he has moved out of his old apartment and doesn’t want me to know where he
lives now… stories like that.
My problem now is that I’m scared of
going to pay him a surprise visit. I’m afraid of what I’ll witness if all these
rumors are true. It will completely devastate me!
They say what you don’t know cannot
kill you right? So should I just pretend that this isn’t bothering me and focus
on my relationship? Or should I quit this self deceit and break up with him
quickly before he does?
I just don’t understand why he gets
completely aggressive each time I insist that I want to spend the weekend with
him at his place!
Am I being
played? What do I do? How do I do it? I really love him!
Please help me out this is really killing me.
